PHEW! This video ended up being a heavier lift than I anticipated due to a combination of factors (costuming; the fact that I stupidly tore down my entire Lich set and then had to build it again; the video turning out longer than I thought; etc.) so I apologize for the only-barely-early access — but I hope you enjoy it!

I truly would love to turn this into an ongoing series, so I'm going to be watching this video's performance with a lot of anxiety this afternoon. If you like this concept and want it to recur, please consider sharing the video on your social media/in your communities once it's public (which will be in about 2 hours!) and leaving a comment on it as a sacrifice to the algorithm! 🙏

Also, I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it, but I appreciate your changing out 'phylactery' for 'soul jar.' It's a little thing, but I noticed & appreciate it. =)

If you did some of these videos for classic big bads (like vampires, dragons, mind flayers, or…a Tarrasque!?) with the intent to twist the narrative and look differently at some classic archetypes, I think that would be great! The least exciting thing as a DM is to try to introduce a classic villain into a campaign without players immediately (and unavoidably, really) importing all their previous knowledge of such enemies because their lore is just so suffused into the game. You’re always so creative and follow great story threads for characters and villains. It’s a life-saver for someone like me who’s involved in a few different games.
