I realize it's now December, (H O W) but since I was working on so much Jester stuff in November, I didn't manage to complete a new cosplay to center all the rewards around! So for November's rewards, I'm putting together a quick femme!Caleb (also from Critical Role... sorry guys, I warned you that I'm obsessed.)

Caleb is a ginger dirty hobo wizard with an orange cat! Last night I finished re-lining my entire Mal Reynolds coat — I stitched in that whole lining by hand, which is relaxing for me but not particularly time efficient. It's going to pain me to destroy it, because I did a beautiful job of lining it, if I do say so myself.

I also completed this scarf, which is just a long strip of linen that I heavily distressed with sandpaper and acrylic paints. Here's the scarf half done, just to show the power of a good weathering:

And here's the finished scarf! Plus bonus tired face.

I'm aiming to shoot Caleb on Thursday, so I'll be spending the first half of this week weathering the coat and making and weathering all the little accessories: The single glove, the arm wraps, belts/book holsters, and probably some sort of brown tunic (not sure yet how much I'll try and "feminize" this design.)

And of course, I'll have a guest star for Frumpkin, Caleb's cat! I'm not 100% confident I can get Chaucer to sit on my shoulder (I have small shoulders, and he is a Big Boi) so I may lug all my photography stuff over to my mom's and see if one of her current foster babies wants to help out. His name is Chewie and he's a shy lil thing, but he's been getting more chill every day! We'll see.

(Is working with kittens considered child labor? 😜)

More honey-baked CR goodness? I AM HERE FOR IT! I've been considering putting together a Caleb costume myself for next year's cons (and Halloween, and sometimes just randomly walking around town). I just might steal an idea or two from you! Or seven. Teen.

YES!! Please let me know if there’s anything I can help with or explain/photograph in more detail along the way!
