"Where She Sleeps" Music Video Update! (Patreon)

OKAY, I don't think I ever actually explained what I'm doing in one place, so here goes: After episode 40 of Critical Role, I made a joking tweet with with some parody lyrics of Jester singing "Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood, which quickly spiraled into me writing an entire parody.
Within a week, I was recording audio with Blake and starting to prep for a video. Since the last few episodes have taken place on a pirate ship, I wanted to put together a set that felt like a pirate ship. I've also been learning to do my own green screen stuff, so I wanted to try that out, too.
Most of these props are things I already had, although I did order the "wooden planks" backdrop (my backdrop collection is getting... seriously out of control) and the barrel is just two resin "barrel planters" from Home Depot, stacked on top of each other!
I filmed the video itself on Friday. My plan was to wake up at 7am, knock out a quick freelance assignment, and then be done filming both this and the first episode of "Jester's Bad Advice" (a new series I'm working on) by around 5pm. Unfortunately... that is not what happened, haha. Instead, it took me until almost 1pm to get done with my freelance assignment, and then every single step of filming took longer than anticipated! When working with green screen, it's extremely important to make sure the screen is perfectly smooth and evenly lit — which means set-up time has to include a lot of ironing and careful hanging, clipping, and pinning, along with normal set dec responsibilities. Then, I took my sweet time with the makeup I guess — it took me two hours rather than my normal one, although to be fair, I think it's the best Jester makeup I've done!
In the end, I was filming until around 10pm — that's 9 straight hours!! dang! — and I didn't even get to Jester's Bad Advice.
And then, because I was excited and Josh was visiting family for the weekend, I stayed up until 2am putting together the first rough cut of the video! Oops. It came together really quickly and easily (thanks to me having the foresight to put together a solid shot list before filming) and yesterday I got all the color correcting and greenscreen effects done.
I'm including some simple animations of doodles in Jester's sketchbook, so that's all that's left before this video is ready to roll! I'll be working on those today and maybe tomorrow, depending on how quickly they come together.
In the episodes since 40, this whole video has started making a lot less sense, unfortunately... but hopefully people will still think it's fun! My main goal is just to release it before this coming Thursday's episode, so you can definitely expect it this week.
