Link to build currently unlocked for Patron tier and above 

New stuff:

  • Redtree town environment polish pass
  • General goods store new interior
  • Crystal tower new interior
  • Woods north of Redtree environment detail pass
  • Polish pass on human x human animations
  • New reverse cowgirl human position
  • Night goblins should spawn at night outside of Redtree Northern gate
  • Incubus modeled, rigged, in game with placeholder animations - walking around in the big room of the tutorial
  • Interior lighting and respawn bug should be fixed
  • AI polish and tweaks
  • Rest UI now shows current time of day - needs a polish pass 
  • 2 handed greataxe has new 3rd person animations - currently broken in first person
  • Basic support for multiple idle and walk animations on a per character basis - not fully hooked up yet
  • Rewrote quest scripting system - currently updating all the quests, will probably be some bugs I missed
  • Lots of placeholder dialogue and scripts as I'm working on that new quest system
  • Overhead map should now show player direction correctly

Bugs and stuff:

There's a ton still

Something during the build broke saving quest data.  Quest progress won't save correctly in this build.

Saving while inside any building or cave interior.  The state of characters and items in these areas won't save and will reset on exit.

The 2 handed greataxe probably won't work in first person view.  Switching to third person should function until I have some time to make proper animations.

I spot checked most of the human on human animations but probably missed stuff.  If there's something that's really annoying let me know and I'll look into fixing it.  

Quest trees and dialogue trees might work but expect at least some of them to be broken or not to trigger.  I'm still working on the new system and haven't updated or fixed everything yet.


What's Next?

  • Catching up on sleep and day job stuff first.
  • Animations for the lesser incubus
  • Fixing the quest system
  • Female imp sculpting
  • More?!?

Let me know if anything is super broken and completely unplayable!  If it is I can start working on a hotfix build.  But if not I'm going to take a few days and recuperate then get back to work.  So probably no update this coming Tuesday.  I'll be back to regularly scheduled updates on the 29th!

Looking forward to checking it out. I'm happy with all the hard work going into this project. I also like how it is presented in-detail through these notes. your grind is appreciated :)

Thanks! I worry sometimes that the update posts aren't always really flashy and glamorous. But I also feel like anyone that is supporting the project should know what's going on with development. So hearing that people appreciate these posts and the steady progress is always a huge morale booster :)
