Working on the succubus animations this week.  I've been experimenting with dynamics in the engine before this and so far I'm not really happy with the results.  With the succubus I'm going to try hand animating some of the secondary motions on her and see if that gives a more consistent result and hopefully looks better.  I'm really excited to get her into the game.

I've also been working on the trailer when I have extra time.  One thing I had no idea where to start with for the trailer was the music.  Where did other game creators get trailer music?  Did they just rip music from someplace else?  Was that legal?  Were there royalties to worry about?  Or was it a matter of uploading to whatever video site and hoping that it didn't get a DMCA strike?

A friend of mine pointed me to a site that sells royalty free music for really reasonable rates and the music clips come in a variety of different lengths. For a quick teaser trailer it's pretty simple to grab a clip that's already 45 seconds long and then plan out the trailer beats from there.  At the moment I have a few clips of "epic trailer music" that I'm starting to plan shots around.  Once I get some rough ideas out then I'll decide on the music track I like the best with the visuals and then go from there.

I didn't list the music site I'm grabbing clips from just so I don't sound terribly like an advertisement in this post.  But a quick internet search for "royalty free epic trailer music" should give anyone a handful of results to dig through.
