Another great episode in this already amazing season! A bit more on the somber side, but we will surely get into more heavy "oh shit" moments soon. How are you all enjoying it? And for the book readers, does it hold up?

In last week's Aftershow video, Wes Chatham was saying he was originally going to strip completely for the scene with the prepper, and the director had to talk him out of it. He was like "dude, it's below zero out here."

I really enjoyed this episode. I love all of the character stuff. Amos realizing that he needs his moral compass was a powerful moment. I miss the Roci crew together. This season is pretty similar to the book so i'm loving it!

Thanks for some good escapism, today was...weird. Seems like this season has had a lot of set up. I’ll be excited for that classic Expanse rollercoaster ride when it all comes together! ps Amos looked like a Jedi in that flag and Marco was pacing around like a douchey magician who knows he’s about to get #metoo’d

The Amos/Clarissa scenes were my favorite part of episode. We got some great insights into each character, and I loved that.

I think you missed the impact of Clarissa’s poem on Amos. He is that guy, a monster who does not feel fear and he recognized himself in her poem. Love both of your takes on this show.

In the after show, it was revealed that Keon and Cara are good friends and she was 8 months pregnant when she shot that scene with Marco. Keon said that Cara tried to get him distracted by bumping into him with his baby bump just as they step so close together! LOL. These actors are just amazing!! I really enjoyed your discussion about all the nuances between the characters on the Pella and how Filip's world view is evolving (and Drummer's role in all of that). Much of this is not in the books but they are pulling different elements together in order to portray Filip's development as he is after all, still a teenager in this story. (It reminds me a little of the child soldiers in the Congo who have to be rehabilitated after they have been trained to kill as small children). Marco on the other hand is NOT changing and that is one of the morals, not growing and learning from what you have done. Naomi was right to point that out in the previous episode. So great!! Great reaction!!
