We see why many of you were anticipating this one, what a great character introduction!
Everything about the episode was extremely intriguing and cool, and we can't wait to see how Aangs new earth bending teacher is going to work out 😁

Thanks for enquiring but considering that the episodes of Avatar are so much shorter than BoB and so they can react and edit them quicker plus the main fact that the previous BoB episodes have always been uploaded on Saturday might give a clue as to when they might upload this one. But I understand your anticipation because BoB is an awesome mini series and Kat&Sonny reactions are some of the best.

Sometimes I have time to edit and put out full reactions as soon as we’ve seen the episodes, but sometimes I have to space them out a little bit so that I am able to keep up with the YouTube schedule as well. This week has been pretty busy, and both of us are very tired at the moment. But our reaction to episode 8 will be out very soon, I promise 🙂

I’ve been looking forward to the reaction to this episode! One of the things I love about Toph is that the earthbending martial art she uses (Southern Praying Mantis Style) is unique to her in the show. I think it makes her fight scenes much more interesting than if she was just a bog standard earthbender.

I always thought Toph's parents were a little ashamed of their daughter's blindness. I get overprotectiveness but to completely hide her from the world is a bit weird even for overprotective parents.

Toph's voice actor played a girl in season 1. In the fortuneteller episode she voiced the girl who had a crush on Aang. The writers liked the actor's performance so much that they invited her back to play a very different character in Toph.

This episode really drives home how this series became so endearing to those who watched it growing up and to many who were already beyond that point in life. Yes it presents itself nominally as "a kid's show" but it does so in a way that's able to resonate beyond youth.

Also a thing i love about this show. It shows you that a disabled person is not weak or vulnerable. Great asset to the team and she is a favorite of this show.
