This is another episode that gives a little indication of there being a goodness in Zuko. Maybe not a direct indication (like you guys picked up on, he wasn't so much trying to rescue Aang but rather steal him for his own benefit) but the misgivings he showed signs of at the end ... those have to have a source.

Btw those archers are amazing. When they were going after Aang it was super windy and they were still able to be so precise. And it shows that Zuko doesnt need firebending to be a "warrior". His skills with the dual swords are amazing. I think its really great to see that he doesnt only rely on firebending.

The Zuko character development is the best in Avatar. The problem is what you are pickup on is really going to cause you some emotional heartache as the episodes progress. What seems clear and simple is not so simple. That is one of the brilliant things about Avatar. I did spend some time catching up on some of the comic book stories this past week and I am kinda surprised where they went with these characters. The comic books try to fill in the pieces between Avatar and Korra. I also got in an argument with a friend about who should be in relationships at the end of Avatar. Once I picked up a comic I kinda was disappointed on how they deal with relationships for some characters. Korra is a bold new step through and really worth a good watch. Sorry I am so cryptic but I really hope to see your reactions on how these characters develop. Like I said keep some tissues nearby.
