Re-watching this with you guys reminds me how much I enjoyed the pacing of this show. It slowly eases you into it.

The Monk Gyatso thing is really dark. Based on the bodies it looks like Aang's teacher took a lot of fire benders with him, like some terrible last stand. It's surprising that they managed to show this on a children's television network in 2005.
