Also, the main characters part was written for Simon Pegg but by the time the story got bought etc he was too old to play him so that is why he got to play the father.

Woohoo! Another of one of my favorite shows! Anthony Starr (Homelander) is such a great actor. Another show I really enjoyed with him is Banshee. It is pretty violent and has a lot of nudity, and also unfortunately was cut short because it was not renewed but it was still fantastic.

By the way Simon Pegg was the creator's idea for the character of Hughie. So ironic that he gets to play his father in the TV series. By the way you can read the comic and not be spoiled for the TV series. They are taking some big departures from the story but it works for TV where the comic is great in its own right.

What I most liked about this series... it is not just about the satire, the action or the shock values. It also has a lot of quiter heartfelt moments in it, which makes the characters feel very human.
