As always, content-creation related stuff first, IRL stuff further down.

1. Bought and installed the new RAM sticks, finally switching to dual-channel like basically every other PC made in the last 20 years, ha. Still can't believe I've gone single-channel this long. Should mean most CPU-related stuff should run a bit smoother, and I'm less likely to run out of RAM since I have twice as much now. (I actually Bluescreened about a week or two ago when I opened Blender while Stable Diffusion was running, ha.)

2. Experimented a bit in Blender, seemed a bit smoother than the last time I ran it, though that might've been from the Blender updates I missed. Could also be because of #3 down below, heh. Still would like to get back to 3D content ASAP, but it's really F'n annoying to get pulled away from my PC every 10 minutes to feed the spoiled cat or help open a bottle of water that's "stuck" shut.

3. Cleaned up and reorganized my drives, now everything loads quicker and smoother. Seems to work pretty well, though sometimes I wonder if I should've gone with installing the OS onto the new SSD, but installing OSes into SSDs has always been kind of a hit-or-miss thing when it comes to drive longevity.

4. Definitely planning to get a UPS for my PC (Black Friday deals soon!), both to deal with any of the many brownouts our town gets, and to save things during the many power outages we get. I've thought about going overboard and actually installing a solar panel or two for the house to deal with brownouts, but we've got this huge tree that LOVES dropping huge branches all the time and I'd hate to spend a couple hundred dollars on something and have it get smashed a couple weeks into owning it.

5. My grandpa's health is slowly getting better, the heart surgery went well, and he's given the green light to go and do whatever he wants now without risk, but he's so lazy that I'm still doing all of the chores he usually takes care of, so my IRL schedule is still pretty F'd. The worst part is having to do things really early in the morning AND do things really late at night, so my sleep schedule has been pretty awful.

6. My grandma's health is slowly getting worse, her dementia + sundowners are getting in the way more often, and the few chores she's responsible for are probably going to be mine soon. Oof. At least in her case, my grandpa and I have zero patience with dementia and if she gets too bad we'll just send her to a home where she can be taken care of, rather than what happened to my grandpa on the OTHER side of the family, whose dementia wrecked a marriage and led to a lot of depression and heartache for quite a few family members over the course of like 6 years straight.

7. Ugh, Fall. The aforementioned tree has started dumping loads of leaves and branches on us, which means more chores for me, yippee.
