Installation complete. Trying to avoid cheering or throwing a party in celebration, though, since I really don't want to jinx it.

So far so good, everything is running well and there seems to be no problems, outside of the usual installation issues everyone has.

A kind of dumb side effect of the upgrade is that my Windows 10 key is non-transferable and this new build is so different that it basically IS a new computer. I think I'll probably just pick up some cheap key off some shady site and call it good.

Anyway, I'm calling the next couple days a "break-in" period, I'll watch temps, check drivers, etc. and make sure that this all works out 100%, unlike the last attempt.
Should still make some 3D content in the process, just, maybe a little slower.

My current project (outside of getting everyone's models updated and uploaded) is actually bringing back an ancient model of mine back to life. You might've seen it on my Twitter, she was a cowgirl (monstergirl style, not furry) that someone commissioned me to make a long while back, but as far as I can tell, both of our projects fell through. I had her stashed away in my MEGA folder in case the project ever returned and only recently needed to dig her out... the only problem was that she was made back when I basically had no clue what I was doing, so it's a lot of extra work and I probably would be better off if I had rebuilt her from scratch, but 🤷‍♂️ I like the practice.

Update: Still going good, both for Blender and for regular use. I think I mentioned it before, but it cost a smidge more than the budget, so I'll just zero it out for convenience.
The only real issue I've found so far is that my new motherboard has fewer USB ports, so I'm considering getting a PCIe USB hub to help with that. Other than that, the only real things left are maybe an upgrade to my storage, and maybe another case fan.
Eh, USB hubs are cheap.
