As some of you may have noticed, recent renders have had better lighting and shading. I was tinkering with tutorials, how-tos and such and learned that there were a handful of settings that were incorrect, causing any renders in Cycles to take damn near millennia to render.

The settings are fixed now, and rendering still takes longer, but the end result looks nice enough that I'd call it worth it. I still need to tinker with things, and Cycles provides me quite a few new things to learn, but so far it looks like it's going to go well.

Side note: Now that I'm working with Cycles more, my computer needs a GPU upgrade, rather than a CPU upgrade. Hopefully cryptocurrency miners don't skyrocket the price before Black Friday comes along.
