Sorry if this one is a bit random or bizarre, but I thought some might find it interesting to see a snapshot of how my shading process looks. I like working with vector (programs like Flash and Illustrator) since they give crisp lines no matter how far you zoom in. The only sucky part about working in vector is that you can't smudge or blend colors together like you can in Photoshop, so this is the way I section off parts of the bodies to fill in gradients. It can't get the exact effect I'm looking for, but it's a close workaround.

I like the distinct layer shading. It has more of an Anime feel which works well for a game. Vector scaling will also make it easier to port that content across varying monitor sizes mobile to ultra wide screen if you ever wanted to. Thanks for sharing love learning more about your process.
