1st, and I say this as a fan of Bailey's, she is not the best. She has the same issues as everyone else and brings her issues to work all the time. As for the chief resident position obviously it should have gone to Bailey, and Richard's excuse before was utter BS because he claimed he gave it to Callie because Miranda is too great of a surgeon but there are at least 2 things that make clear he was full of sh**. 1st, he clearly gave Callie the position because of how the demand for her surgical talent and how she handled and rocked those surgeries. 2nd, in this episode when he noticed Miranda doing all the admin work and doing it phenomenally he realized that she should have gotten the job that required the excellent admin work on top of the excellent surgical work. And up to this point the best character is clearly Lexi!
