I really do believe that Elle should have had more than 4 months of leave as she needed more time to come to terms with what happened to her and should have gone to therapy to talk to someone about it which is really sad that none of the team other than Reid actually came and approach her to ask her how she was doing as a friend and not just a member of the team, though i know his intentions were good when he said that Randall Garner is dead and she's alive which means she won, though she won and she's alive doesn't mean what happened doesn't still affect her going forward because she is clearly dealing with Trauma and PTSD and still living with the phantom feeling of his hand in her wound to use her blood to write on the wall. I understand why she acted the way she did because these women were being attacked in their homes by this man, the one place they were supposed to feel safe and that was taken away from them which is the same thing that happened to Elle in her own home. I completely agree that she wasn't ready mentally to go undercover to catch this guy because of what she went through and her trauma and PTSD flared up at that moment, causing her to panic and without a reason to arrest him which unfortunately causes him to be able to walk because they had no reason to hold him there. The thing that pisses me off though is that she says to Hotch's face that the last time he sent her home, he got her shot which is completely unfair, and blames him for something that he had no control over or the fact that he had no idea that Randall Garner was going to be in her home, waiting for her. Even though I didn't like the fact that Elle took the law into her own hands, though it had to be done especially for the awful things that the guy was saying, thanking her was honestly the last straw which was enough reason to kill him, making sure that nothing else happens to any more women.
