I always thought it was dumb that Juliette would ask if she normally left a note. Even if she doesn't remember Nick, if you are living with someone you are in a relationship with or even just roommates wouldn't you still let the other person know where you are going so they wouldn't be worried? At the very least she knows she is not living in the house alone.
