Week 1 Progress Update (Patreon)

Hey everyone,

Thought we’d share what we’ve been up to this week :)

We mentioned last week that we’re working on refining all of the incomplete elements of the school campus, until it’s a complete and fully explorable level. We’re starting with the School Gymnasium, a 90ft by 180ft building that serves as the school’s sports hall and auditorium. 

The Gymnasium level contains multiple environments for encounters and gameplay; the school swimming pool, changing rooms, the gym hall itself, the stage, and under-stage storage.

The Gym will contain some interactive elements, like functioning basketball and a tennis ball cannon, which will be accessible in play-test builds as an example of the kind of gameplay features that will be expanded into full mini-games and challenges in Virtual Novel’s story line.

We’re aiming to release a test build of this level by the end of the month, and we’ll keep our Patreon and Twitter updated with our progress throughout!
