Update 2 April 2020: All files are now available on Github here: https://github.com/gregsaun/bear_extruder_and_x_axis/tree/dev/optional_parts/bear_hemera

Dear Patrons, please find attached to this page a zip file for the Bear Hemera. You will find all information in the README.pdf (print settings, bom, link to assembly guide, etc.). Please note that the X ends, X carriage back and cable guide back are available in the dev branch of the github here: https://github.com/gregsaun/bear_extruder_and_x_axis/tree/dev/printed_parts and therefore not present in the zip file.

The assembly guide is not finished yet, I will work on it next week. The basic assembly is done and you will find gcode files to help configure the printer as well as PrusaSlicer. This should allow you to start printing with the Hemera but be aware that some routines are untested and might require tweaking. Btw, you don't need to flash a custom firmware!

This first alpha release is only shared with you. Feel free to report me any issue you could find, small or big. Do not hesitate to ask questions, even simple one. If you have a doubt during the assembly please share a comment here. Thanks a lot in advance for your help :) !

I will have only slow access to Internet during the weekend but I promise I will read and answer your questions as soon as it is possible.

Disclaimer: This is an early access to a work in progress. It might require further modifications and research to achieve a print with the Hemera on your Prusa. Therefore,  We cannot be responsible for damages on your products caused by this upgrade.

Can't wait to try this out! I am pairing this with a Prusa frame (I had one laying around) and an SKR V1.4 Board.

Although I might wait until the adjustments are made. Any idea as to when that might be? Thanks for all your hard work!

Do we need anything else in the firmware than the new pinda offset? I think I have to do a xyz calibration after tearing down all the things. Do you know the exact offset? And do we really need 1/16 microsteps? The E3D documentation says: Send M92 786.5 to the command line

Hey, sorry for my late answer. In the zip file you should find a beautiful (read horrible) hand drawing inside the "doc" folder that shows the nozzle and PINDA offsets. You really need 1/16 if you are using a 8bit board (like all current Prusa printers, except the Mini). Due to the gear ratio of the Hemera, the extruder motor is rotating faster. This means the controller has to calculate more pulses for the steppers than what it is normally made for it. If you keep 1/32 you might experience lag in curves or diagonals of your prints (depending the speed you use).
