Glad to see reactions back! I personally am a big fan of the tone switches in this show, mostly because it lines up with my sense of humor. But also, this show like AOT, has serious elements, but early on is more rooted in showing characters personalities even at the expense of tension.

I quite liked the sillyness when I watched last year but now that you bring it up I get why it can be quite jarring humour. Nice to have a show that's self aware but also light hearted and serious at times

I think the goofy moment are kind too much sometimes too but when shit really gets serious it makes the show better. Cause you think like damn if this guy is being serious then the stakes must be high.

Stoffe

The silliness of the show is to compensate for its dark story and attract to the younger audiences, as the anime is considered a "shonen".

I haven't seen JJK yet, watching it alongside with you, and I definitely enjoy these little goofier moments when they tap out of the regular art style. Maybe they are just my type of humor though
