Main Story 36 - The End of the Consecutive Holidays

“Welcome ba─ck! Please watch your step.”

The gondola returns to the ground and the staff onii-san opens the door. I wonder how many times I've been told “welcome back” by a staff member. I don't know the number, but it seems certain that this will be the day I’m told “welcome back” the most this year.

I get off the gondola first and gently pull Hiori's hand to help her get off.

“Thank you very much, Akito-san.”

“No, no. Come to think of it, when I was little, I had a hard time getting off the gondola. There were times when my parents and older sister would pull me by the hand or carry me in their arms.”

“Fufu, I see. Me too, when I was little, my parents would pull me by the hand to help me get off the gondola. When I got a little older, I would be the one pulling Nanami by the hand. It’s nice to have someone help me get off even when I’m older.”

Hiori says that with a gentle smile. She's really cute. From now on too, when we go to the amusement park and ride the Ferris wheel together, let’s help Hiori get off the gondola like I do now.

“The Ferris wheel was really nice. It was a good idea to ride it alone with Akito-san.”

“I'm also glad that I get to spend some time alone with Hiori.”

The ride lasted about 15 minutes. But, since we also talked about updating the duration of our trial relationship, the time we spent was very meaningful. I'll probably never forget about this.

We leave the Ferris wheel boarding area.

When we go down the stairs from the Ferris wheel boarding area back to ground level, we see Kazuo and Shimizu-san there. The two of them wave their hands at us. Both of them have bright and cheerful smiles.

“You guys were sitting next to each other and cuddling together halfway through, weren’t you? That was a great sight!”

“Good for you!”

“Haha, thanks for that.”

Kazuo and the others were watching us from the gondolas in front and behind us. So when I got off the gondola, I already prepared myself to be told something about our cuddling.

Perhaps because both Kazuo and Shimizu-san honestly expressed their impression with bright smiles on their faces, Hiori doesn’t seem particularly embarrassed.

“Oh, Himura and Hazuki are getting off too!”

Since Kazuo said that, I look towards the Ferris wheel boarding area and see Himura-san and Hazuki-san going down the boarding area and coming towards us. The two start smiling and waving at us.

“The Ferris wheel was pretty nice. The view at the top was especially beautiful.” (Kyoko)

“Seeing the setting sun was nice-ssu. The view of the city center was also nice-ssu, but seeing Hiorin and Kamitou-kun who were riding in the gondola in front of us was nice-ssu. Halfway through, they started sitting side by side, and started cuddling-ssu. I got so excited when I thought they might start kissing-ssu!”

Hiori looks bashful with a slight blush on her cheeks.

Halfway through, Hiori started sitting next to me and rested her head on my shoulder... if they see that sight, it’s natural to think that we’re going to kiss, I guess.

Also, Hazuki got excited even though it's not BL, I see. Perhaps remembering what happened on the Ferris wheel, she starts breathing erratically, “Haah, haah.” If this girl were by her side, Himura-san would become calmer, huh?

“It was fun-ssu! It was my first time visiting Dome Town, but it was a really nice amusement park-ssu!” (Saaya)

“I've been here many times, but today was probably the most fun I've had. Maybe it's because I was with Hiori and the others.” (Kyoko)

“I had a lot of fun too. It's been five years since I've been to Dome Town, but I'm glad that the ones I came together with were Akito-san and the others.” (Hiori)

Saying that, Hiori looks at me and laughs happily.

It looks like everyone had a lot of fun in Dome Town today. Whether it was going around the attractions or eating lunch, everyone seemed to be having fun doing it.

“How about Akito-san?”

“I had fun too. Because I was with Hiori and the others, even though it's been 7 years, I had a lot of fun. Thank you everyone.”

I think it was because of these five people that I had so much fun today. I’m very satisfied that I got to spend some time alone with Hiori on the Ferris wheel. Someday, I want to go on an amusement park date with Hiori, just the two of us.

Hiori, Hazuki-san, Kazuo and Shimizu-san, they all look at me with bright smiles, and Himura-san looks embarrassed.

We leave the Ferris wheel behind and start walking towards the gate.

But, there is a souvenir shop near the gate, so we decided to buy some souvenirs there. I buy some sweets and a matching keychain with Hiori. I'll put this keychain to my bicycle key as soon as I get home.

When we leave the souvenir shop and out of the gate of Dome Town, the sky has become completely dark. I’ve been with Hiori and the others all day today, huh. While thinking that, we set out on our way home.

On the way back too, the train we ride isn’t delayed or suspended. I get off at Hagikubo Station and return home safely.

The moment I arrive home, the fatigue from today comes flooding in. I manage to relieve some of that fatigue by eating dinner and taking a bath. I'm glad I finished all my assignments before the holidays or on the first day of the holidays. Some things are a little difficult to do when you are tired.

Right now, I'm lying on my bed, reading the rom-com light novel I bought on my Hagikubo date while listening to music. This work is quite interesting. I like the illustrations too. Although this work is originally from a submission site, I will continue reading the book version of this work.

I hear the vibrating sound of a smartphone.

I temporarily stop reading my light novel and check my smartphone. When I do, I see a notification that I received a message from Hiori on LIME. Let's check it right away.

[Today was a lot of fun. Thanks to Akito-san, it was a fun Golden Week. It was the most fun one I've ever had. Thank you very much.]

A message of gratitude for Golden Week, huh? I feel relieved. Normally, this time would be when we talk about the update of the trial duration, and for a moment I thought the message was about that. Also, after seeing this message makes my fatigue fly away a bit.

That one sentence makes me especially happy. Perhaps it was exactly because she felt that way that Hiori told me directly on the Ferris wheel, that she wanted to extend the duration of the trial lovers. My heart is getting warmer.
