24 - This is not that kind of magic!

RAW

What I made was a liquid detergent that was completed by pouring [Clean Water] into fats and oils of several kinds of plants such as [Natkari Leaf].
Just by washing the golem with this thing, the minerals covering the body of the golem will peel off.

To begin with, golems are monsters that protect their fragile main body by covering it with minerals in their surroundings, and then harden them with their own magic essence in a unique way.
And so, after pouring liquid detergent through the gap, that cover will peel off after a while.
But, well, this only works for low and intermediate-class golems.
A different countermeasure is necessary for things like [King Golem] who has transformed its whole body into minerals, but I'll explain that someday.

Anyway.
The main body of the golem, with its sticky constitution that has been stripped of minerals, in order to quickly cover its body with minerals, rushes toward the minerals, or desperately attempts to escape.
Without carrying minerals, they are quite fast, so there are many times that we fail to bring them down.

My and Randy’s magic have better speed, so we are the one hunting the main body.
I increased Zem’s speed with [Quick] and he was steadily bringing them down one by one.

“Whoaa! My level went up again!! To think there was a way to defeat a golem like this!”

Zem was very excited, but as soon as the reinforcement time for [Quick] was over, he let out a scream.

“O-owowow!? O-oi, Josiah. Please, give me [Quick] again…”

“No can do. Any more than that will destroy your body.”

Same goes for Port.
While Randy and I supported him, he defeated several golems and raised his levels to some extent while continuing to transfer golem shards to the guild, but his head was starting to hurt.
It was a headache caused by excessive use of magic power, a symptom of [Magic Overuse Sickness].

I can still go on, but not with the rest of us in this state.

“Considering Port and Zem-san's stamina for going back, let's stop here for today.”

Apologetically, Port, having poor complexion, said “I'm sorry”, while Zem let out a tired sigh.
One person, Randy, bringing the ores by using electromagnetic levitation, gave a disappointed reaction, saying, “Huh. Are we going back already?”

Port and Zem, covered in wounds, were hanging their heads inside an automatic trolley that was a combination of my [Shield] and [Familiar].
Randy, who is not physically tired, is running through the dungeon on the trolley. He was playing in his spare time by shooting at the bat-like monster [Constriction Bat], which was chasing him, with cards.
For Randy, I guess he enjoys dungeon capture as if it were a game.

Then he makes this suggestion.

“Hey, old man. Won’t you teach me magic circles?. I'll pay you!”

What’s wrong all of a sudden? It seems like he’s just saying that, but unexpectedly, he’s the type who would go all the way to the end if he’s obsessed with something.
However, if we convert the ore we got this time into cash, we can earn so much money that we won’t have to worry about money again.
Because there is demand for them.

So I say.

“In that case… I don’t need money, instead, could you accept the request for dungeon investigation and monster subjugation with me again? As you can see from my status, both my level and my rank as an adventurer still have a long way to go…”

“Eeh. Are you serious? Don't complain later, okay?? Old man”

I have no choice, don’t I?
You can't enter the dungeon unless you butter up to nobles.
Rather, this one is more important to me for the future.

As soon as I returned to the guild like this, the scream of the usual receptionist returned to the scene.

“I, it's amazing but! We’re troubled even if you bring all this material!! There's no place to store them or to pick them up…”

The amount of ores and minerals transferred by Port also caused a buzz of noise from passing adventurers.
The person himself is also dumbfounded, saying, “I didn’t know I brought this much…”
I answered the receptionist.

“Putting aside the place to put them, there shouldn’t be any trouble finding a place to pick them up.”

“Eh, eeeh?”

Then, in perfect timing, a certain person saw the large amount of ore and exclaimed with delight.

“Whoa! I’m saved!! [Edral Ore] and [Pirua Crystal]! Oops, this is a Golem’s!?”

This guy is probably someone who is involved in the construction of residences for nobles.
Sure enough, this guy asked the bewildered receptionist for it.

“Ri~~ght as I was thinking of requesting the guild to collect minerals, but this much is enough! No, even if I run out of materials again in the future, I can leave it to you! In the meantime, I want all the ores here――”

“Everything!? P-please wait a moment!”

Nobles are coming to immigrate, and those guys don't want a house made of easy materials like wood.
That’s what I guessed from the information I'd gathered beforehand, and just as I had aimed, the ores were gone in an instant as they are materials in demand.
