“Carly, I really don’t want to go inside.” Beth cried.

“God Beth, stop being such a pussy nothing will happen, its tradition.” Carly replied.

Carly wouldn’t admit it but she was most likely feeling just as nervous as Beth was when it came to what they were about to do. They were standing outside a dilapidated hospital/mental institution that had been abandoned for at least the last fifty years. The whole place cried creepy, overgrown and was incredibly off-putting to look at even during the day time.

It was Halloween night and both girls were dressed up in costumes from the party they went to in the afternoon. Carly was in a rather lucrative cat costume with black ears and an incredibly short miniskirt. Beth was wearing something a bit more conventional and was dressed as a banshee with the makeup fully covering her face and a long white gown. Both girls were here on a whim, they had heard from some of the others at the party that it was tradition that people went ghost hunting or ‘raided’ the hospital.

Beth had no interest what so ever in participating but it was Carly that talked the big game in front of all the people they met that night and that meant Beth was dragged along. After some quick pleading and begging out of ear shot of the other partygoers Carly managed to convince Beth that it would be fun. The girls had left in a different car than the others and were now eagerly waiting the others to arrive.

“Where are they, they should be here by now.” Carly began to wonder.

“Good they aren’t coming Carly, let’s just leave they.” Beth cried.

“Beth, just relax, they’re probably already inside looking around, don’t act like such a baby.”

Beth groaned but nevertheless she followed Carly through a hole in the wire fencing. There was a large amount of graffiti covering the outside walls so that at least gave her some confidence that they weren’t the only people to go wondering around here in the past fifty years.

The atmosphere of the night added to the freaky ambience, the cool breeze billowed past the two girls even lifting Carly’s short miniskirt up on occasion. An event that Beth had previously warned her about if she chose to wear such skimpy short clothing, but even Carly didn’t seem to care.

“This door won’t budge, hold this.” Carly said, handing Beth her flashlight.

Beth watched on in bewilderment as Carly shoulder charged at the door more than once before finally she managed to break some kind of rusty look and they found themselves in the main foyer of the old hospital.

“See, piece of cake.” Carly said triumphantly as she stopped to catch her breath.

Both girls explored the foyer; it was nothing exciting just an old receptionist desk in the middle and a tonne of scattered papers around the floor which were now completely worn down to the point that they were illegible. The place was dusty too, and while there was a tonne of graffiti on the outside of the hospital there was no trace of it on the inside which Beth pointed out.

“How come there isn’t any graffiti inside, it’s like no one has been in here but us.”

“Beth cut it out; of course we’re not the first ones to be in here.” Carly replied. “Now come on, we just need to go further in.”

With a strong reluctance Beth continued to follow in her friend’s footsteps as they made their way down one of the corridors, seemingly chosen at random.

“Can we not just go running off in some random direction, what if we get lost?” Beth asked worryingly.

“We’re not going to get lost.” Carly replied. “Just stick close to me if you’re going to be such a big scaredy cat.”

She made a teasing ‘meowing’ sound towards her friend and laughed trying to lighten the mood. It managed to crack a smile from Beth but that the worry was still evident in her eyes and across the rest of her face.

Again it was almost like they were the first to be walking these halls in a long time, even Carly began to take note of what Beth had said and found it odd there were no signs of anyone else breaking inside. No graffiti broken bottles or signs that maybe people would sleep here who didn’t have other place to go. It was quite different to any other abandoned place either of the girls had seen or heard of before.

“What was that!” Beth Cried, managing to cause a fearful squeak from Carly as she clutched down hard on her shoulder.

“BETH.” Carly cried out in frustration that she made such an embarrassing sound after managing to keep it together for so long, pulled away from her friend in a huff.

“I heard something.” Beth whimpered.

“It’s probably the others, which way.” Carly gestured to the break in the hallway that branched off in two directions.

“I don’t know this one maybe?” Beth said, sounding rather unsure.

Carly sighed but picked that direction anyway, having nothing better to go on by. As they took a few steps down the hallway both girls quickly noticed the light coming from one of the rooms. You could hear their sighs of relief as they both walked towards the dimly lit room, seeing the shadows dancing past the light they realised the others must have been inside.

As they approached the room the light disappeared and Carly shook her head with a sly grin realising they were trying to pull a prank on them.

She threw open the door and practically screamed, “HAH found you….”

But her voice trailed off as both girls looked on in horrified terror. A spectral figure was floating a few feet off the floor causing it to loom over them. It was baffling and both girls tried to find their voices, but they couldn’t even scream. The figure slowly twisted and span around to face them and they looked into her cold pale eyes as it smiled at the two of them.

“Actually, it looks like I found you.” The cool feminine voice replied.

The room was eerily silent, except for the sputtering coming from Carly as she tried to form words and soon broken by the pitter patter of pee dripping onto the atrium floor as Beth wet herself in terror.

The spectre took note of the sight and laughed. “Why it looks like two little babies have gone wondering out of their room, guess we better take you back then hadn’t we.”

Finally Carly managed to gather enough courage to break out from her trance.

“BETH.” She screamed. “We have to go.”

Trembling she grabbed her friend and together they ran sprinting back down the way they came. They basically flew down the halls, both of them were too terrified to turn back and see if the ghost was chasing them. It was life or death in their eyes, neither girl had ever run this fast before. Finally they veered around the turn where they found the large doors that connected them to the front foyer and both girls flew past them.

They both lost their footing as they fell through the door and realised they had stumbled into somewhere completely different.

“This doesn’t make any sense.” Beth cried, Carly silently mirroring her thoughts.

The room was not the foyer; this place looked untouched by age everything was where it was supposed to be. Somehow they had found themselves in an old baby’s nursery, there were bassinets, cribs an old rocking horse in the centre of the room surrounding by plush and wooden vintage toys. Large dolls sat atop shelves that looked over the room; there was a rocking chair in one corner and a changing table against one side of the room.

“Looks like the babies found their way back, aren’t you both so smart.”

Terrified the girls snapped their hands around expecting to see the ghostly woman but floating menacingly above them, but instead they saw a much younger kinder looking woman who definitely seemed to be still alive.

“Now I think I better see to this one first, what’s your name sweets?”

“B…Beth.” She stammered.

“Well isn’t that a pretty name, come with me.”

Without much hesitation and too fearful to resist Beth put her hand in the woman’s almost expecting it to fall through like a shadow but instead her hand grabbed hers and it was actually rather warm.

The woman made quick work pulling all of Beth’s clothing off, removing her gown and sopping wet underwear before pulling her up onto the changing table. Carly slowly trudged over across the room, being careful to avoid the toys scattered about and stood fixated on the scene that played out before her.

The stranger cleaned off the wetness from Beth’s crotch as she laid their unmoved and naked, before she pulled a bundle of towels that could only be an old fashioned cloth diaper before moving it beneath her. She dusted her off with some baby powder and ointment before pulling the thick bundle shut and clipping it together with a set of pins. She than coaxed a pair of rubber underwear over the thick diaper and finally pulled Beth off onto the floor.

Instinctively Beth pulled her thumb into her mouth and started sucking while Carly looked on in shock.

“Now then would you like me to get you in a nice safe diaper like your friend dear?”

Carly looked back at the woman and shook her head.

“No?” The woman’s eyes began to glow a ghostly pale blue. “I suppose I could always treat you how I normally treat the other guests that wander into this place uninvited and trying to cause trouble.”

Carly shuddered fearfully, turning back to her friend who looked incredibly embarrassed but seemed she was in control over her own actions still.

Carly gulped before shaking her head the other way.

“Very good, but I think you need to show me that you actually need diapers like little Beth did.”

Poor Carly turned crimson, realising what the woman was asking from her, but complied all the same. It was strangely easy for the girl to relax her bladder and flood her pants like her friend had done moments ago.

“Oh my looks like you definitely do need to be in diapers too, what’s your name sweetheart?”

“Carly.” She replied in a whisper.

“A lovely name too, don’t worry I’ll get you all cleaned up toot sweet.”

Just like Beth had been, Carly was stripped of her wet costume and placed on the changing table for a diaper change. After going through the same method of wiping before an equally thick diaper was placed beneath her she was powdered and covered in baby oil before a rubber diaper was pulled up her thick padding.

Both girls stood awkwardly as the strange woman hummed and moved around the room dropping their dirty clothing into a bin.

“Who are you?” Carly asked timidly.

The woman walked over to them and smiled. “I’m the caretaker of this place, I always loved my job, and looking after the little ones while their parents couldn’t take care of them I filled that role. I just never felt like truly leaving even once everyone else already had.”

The woman gave both girls a baby’s bottle and sat them down onto the carpeted floor by a giant teddy bear.

“Occasionally someone will try and break in here and I will scare them off, making sure they never return. But sometimes little ones such as you sneak in and it requires a different approach.”

She looked down at Carly’s diaper causing the girl to blush.

“Now obviously you broke into this place when you shouldn’t have and little girls must know better than that, also your outfits were definitely not befitting young women such as yourselves, regardless that it was in the spirit of this time of year.”

The two girls squirmed as they anxiously awaited fearfully what was to become of them.

“I think a year in thick diapers will do you some good, reminding you that you aren’t as big as you might think you are.”

The girls looked fearfully, as they both imagined being stuck in this place locked away until next Halloween.

“But considering how well behaved you’ve been for me, I think maybe just at night time and of course I’ll allow you to return home.”

The woman smiled and the girls felt a wave of relief wash over them.

“I’ll send you home with a bundle of diapers to use as you see fit, but other than that I’m more than happy for you to select your own padding. But just know that while I might be stuck here, I’ll know if you break your promises to me and decide to not wear your padding one night. If that happens I’ll see it fit to have you spend your days here locked away in this nursery with me until I decide to let you go, understood?”

Both girls nodded quickly their agreement.

“Good, now then I think it’s time for you both to get some sleep.”

Almost instantly drowsiness overtook them both and they drifted off, and slowly in a dreamlike state moved off back home completely oblivious that they were wandering the streets diapered with a bundle in each hand.

“Happy Halloween.” The spectral caretaker said before resealing the doors.
