Blog: A little different this week (11/01/21 - 11/04/21) (Patreon)

Sports update: The Miami Dolphins lost to the Buffalo Bills, 26-11. They are now 1-7.

This week was a little different, so I don't have a day-by-day breakdown. But here is a little rundown.

• I hope everyone had a fun Halloween! We had ALOT of trick-or-treaters. My favorite moment of the night was when Kristin said a kid dressed as Link was a "ninja turtle." He looked horrified.

• This week, I was a guest on my wife's podcast, Let's Go To Court! , so I had to come up with a case to talk about. I decided to tell the story of the Boston Massacre. I think it's a great example of how historical memory changes a narrative. As a kid, all I learned was that British soldiers fired into a crowd of colonists, killing five. From this simple narrative, it's easy to assume that British = bad, Colonists = good. But there was more to it than that. Six soldiers were found innocent and two were convicted of manslaughter. Also of note: Future 2nd president of the United States, John Adams, defended them in court!

• I got the audio mix back for the Mega Man Universe episode, so that will go live on Friday. We came up with a really great thumbnail as well. Check it out!

• This weekend, I will be attending the Retroworld Expo in Hartford, CT.  I will be giving a panel presentation on some of the documents I uncovered at the National Archives regarding Donkey Kong. I'll also have a table where I'll be selling some merch. I hope to see some of you there!
