Sports update: The Miami Dolphins lost again. They are now 1-6.
Monday, October 25th
Editing continues on the Mega Man Universe video. Today, I worked on the section about the art style. Did you know Capcom wanted the game to appeal to Western audiences, so they based the art off of cartoons such as The Powerpuff Girls?
Unfortunately, nothing exciting happened today. I edited the video! I should have a rough cut by Thursday.
Tuesday, October 26th
I stumbled onto this tweet the other day and it made me reflect on my own editing process. Defunctland is right - editing without on-screen narration makes the process much harder!
I actually ran into this problem while editing the latest video. I couldn't find any visuals of Capcom's press conference at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con convention. Luckily, I finally found a re-upload of Capcom's recording. But still, that took me about 2 hours of searching.
If I recorded my narration on-screen, I could have simply just cut to myself talking with a minor visual.
Just an observation I thought I would share. Editing went smooth today, and I still anticipate a Thursday release on Patreon!
Wednesday, October 27th - Rough edit is done!
The rough edit of the Mega Man Universe is done! I'm really happy with this video. I think it's an interesting "what could have been" scenario that tells a bigger story about Keiji Inafune, Capcom, and the video game industry.
Tomorrow morning, I'm going to make some minor adjustments and add background music, then I will release the video on Patreon!
Thursday, October 28th - New video!
This morning, I adjusted some pacing, added music, and finalized the credits for the MMU video. And with that, the new episode is complete! I made a separate post for the video, or you can just click the link below to give it a watch.

Next, I'll be diving into the world of NES light guns! I originally wanted to get Super Mario World done before the end of the year, but I might save that for next year. January is a dead month for YouTube, which is a good time for me to work on that video. But who knows, I might change my mind over the weekend.
See you next time!
