"Don't lose heart," said Hinata compassionately to a dejected Kagetsuki. "Even if your kidneys are injured, a young person like you should recover in a few years!"

Hinata's kind attempt at consolation only deepened Kagetsuki's despair.

"My kidneys…"

"The winner of this match is Hinata Hyuga from the Hidden Leaf Village…" Gekko Hayate declared, his eyes filled with sympathy for Kagetsuki. Such a pity, he thought, for such a robust young man to be branded with the infamy of weak kidneys for potentially the rest of his life.

"Why are you holding your kidney, Swift Wind Examiner?" Hinata inquired upon noticing Gekko Hayate's subtle gesture to his side, her eyebrows raised in a hint of displeasure.

"Cough, it's nothing…" Hayate mumbled. Could he admit that Kagetsuki's cries induced a vicarious pain in him, man to man?

"Several broken ribs, a few spinal fractures, limb fractures, a misaligned cervical vertebra, and various degrees of internal organ displacement… Plus some trauma and a lot of muscle tears. But overall, it's not too serious—you won't die…"

Haku examined Kagetsuki, patting his shoulder comfortingly. As Kagetsuki winced from the pain, Haku warned, "You need to protect your kidneys well. Among all your internal organs, they've suffered the most, even showing signs of rupture!"

Haku's words struck Kagetsuki like a thunderbolt, turning his already dark complexion several shades paler.

"The pain in my kidneys…"

When Zabuza hoisted him onto his shoulder, Kagetsuki was brought sharply back to reality by the intense pain, breaking out in a cold sweat.

"Doctor, could you be gentler, please? Get me a stretcher?!"

"A stretcher? Look at you, so big and strong. Why are you so fragile inside?" Zabuza grumbled disdainfully. "And let me tell you, my way of carrying you may not look graceful, but there's a method to it. The jolting might just knock your displaced organs back into place. It's our family's secret healing technique, so don't be ungrateful!"

Kagetsuki looked at Zabuza skeptically. Did this doctor take him for a fool? As if a bumpy ride on a shoulder could realign displaced organs—other doctors would turn in their graves.

"Let's go, young man. My medical skills aren't mere talk, especially when it comes to surgery. I’m exceptionally precise with the scalpel..."

As Zabuza sauntered off, boasting about his medical exploits, Kagetsuki, enduring the pain, pleaded, "I can bear you carrying me, but could you not press my kidney against your shoulder bone? It's unbearable."

"Why didn't you say so earlier?" Zabuza complained, then with a swift motion, flipped Kagetsuki face-up.

"My back, it's going to break…"

Kagetsuki felt despair; the sudden move seemed to have broken his back.

"No worries, we'll just put it back together!" Zabuza waved off the concern carelessly.

"Mom, Dad, I might not make it back home," was Kagetsuki's last thought before pain overwhelmed him into unconsciousness.

"Hey, doctor, how can you treat an injured person like this?" Kagetsuki's team Jōnin arrived, distressed at seeing him carried like a sack over Zabuza's shoulder, his anger intensifying.

"What's wrong with my treatment? This is an ancestral Secret Technique, aiding his recovery…"

Zabuza paused to peddle this claim to Kagetsuki's Jōnin leader.

Meanwhile, Hyuga Hiashi, head of the Hyuga household, covertly signaled Haku, beckoning her over.

"Is there something you need, Head of Household Hiashi?" Haku approached.

"Well, Doctor Haku, I have a medicinal concoction that can speed up healing. I'd like you to use it on that Hidden Cloud village boy as compensation for Hinata's actions," Hiashi offered, handing Haku a small vial. "A generous reward will follow upon success..."

"Head of Household Hiashi, we can't just use external medications at the hospital!"

Haku lightly coughed, verbally declining, yet swiftly accepted the vial.

"Doctor Haku jests! This is a secret healing medicine from the Hyuga family, effective in repairing numerous injuries. Though it amplifies the pain slightly, its effectiveness is beyond doubt!" assured Hiashi, his pinch gesture meant to minimize the drug's painful side effects.

"I graciously accept, Head of Household Hiashi. Your magnanimous actions are truly admirable!" Haku, now grinning like a fox, especially after receiving the promised reward, thought about the tight financial straits at the hospital and how the funds would alleviate them greatly.
