"This has to be a fake! You're trying to deceive me with a counterfeit, aren't you?!"

Kagetsuki clutched his chest, taking several uncontrollable steps backward. The hand holding the photograph trembled slightly, signs of a breakdown evident on his face.

"I wish I could tell you it's fake, but the truth is often cruel," Hinata said, looking at Kagetsuki with sympathy. "This photo is genuine. Do you really think someone would dare to impersonate the Fourth Raikage?"

"No, it can't be... it can't be..."

Kagetsuki's voice wavered, verging on tears. The two figures in the photo, radiating an aura of freedom, seemed to shake his very faith.

"Face reality. Stay strong," Hinata 'kindly' consoled him, though inside she was laughing maliciously.

"No, you deceived me! You're a liar!"

With rage in his eyes, Kagetsuki threw the photo to the ground, accusatory eyes locked onto Hinata. He was convinced she'd produced the photo to mess with his mind.

"What a pity for the photo, discarded by its supposed 'fan' of the Fourth Raikage," Hinata remarked with feigned regret, though her taunting tone only fueled Kagetsuki's anger.

"I'll kill you..."

Kagetsuki seethed, his nostrils flaring. "I will not tolerate anyone tarnishing the honor of Lord Raikage and Lord Killer Bee."

"Try me!" Hinata stood defiantly, a cold sneer curving her lips. "It's about time I settle my debt with your Hidden Cloud village."

"You dare slander Lord Raikage and Lord Killer Bee, woman? Prepare to die."

Drawing the broad-bladed double-edged sword from his back, Kagetsuki charged at Hinata. In his hands, the seemingly heavy sword moved with ease and precision.

Hinata, a master of the Hyuga clan's gentle fist technique, effortlessly sidestepped his strikes without even activating her Byakugan. Kagetsuki's skilled swordplay, honed by relentless practice, proved ineffective against Hinata. Each blade strike narrowly missed her, leaving Kagetsuki frustrated.

"Is dodging all you can do?" Kagetsuki growled, desperately trying to rein in his anger.

"I despise the Hidden Cloud village, but I won't take advantage of an opponent blinded by rage. Your earlier recklessness didn't earn a counterattack," Hinata responded disdainfully.

Stunned, Kagetsuki finally said, "I apologize for underestimating you. Win or lose, from this day forward, you are my friend, Kagetsuki."

Hinata replied coolly, "Sorry, but I bear a grudge against Hidden Cloud. We won't be friends."

"Why the hatred towards Hidden Cloud village?" Kagetsuki hesitated before asking.

"Do you see these eyes?" Hinata pointed to her own, her expression mocking. "At the age of four, Hidden Cloud village tried to kidnap me under the pretense of signing a peace treaty with Konoha. They even wanted to kill me once discovered."

"I remember the Raikage often spoke of honor and manhood. Is the Hidden Cloud's idea of 'manhood' attacking a defenseless four-year-old girl?"

Embarrassed, Kagetsuki admitted, "That was our village's mistake. I can't speak for the village, but personally, I apologize."

Hinata, while softening, responded, "The main culprit was the Fourth Raikage, not you. Don't blame yourself."

"As part of Hidden Cloud village, I have a duty to bear responsibility for its actions," Kagetsuki declared.

"Enough with the pleasantries. This is the Chunin Exam. Let's get on with our match, or step aside," Hinata snapped.

"Understood," Kagetsuki replied, regaining his composure. "Hidden Cloud Genin Kagetsuki..."

"Konoha Genin Hinata Hyuga..."

Assuming her clan's fighting stance, Hinata's eyes began to transform.

"That Kagetsuki seems like a decent guy," Kakashi and others whispered approvingly.

"Decent or not, he'll soon get a beating," Sakura muttered. "At least he won't be in mortal danger."
