Something about Jiang Yanli’s song kills me. I’ve cried so much over her. Also the not-so subtle love lyrics shared between Wangxian. I mean Wangji’s song is fully a love song but even Wuxian’s had multiple lines about Wangji and when I saw those for the first time I genuinely had to just sit in silence to collect my thoughts for a good 5-10mins. I watched their songs last because I just had a feeling something like that was going to happen. Thank you again for the reaction. I’m excited to cry through part two as well🥲

Strongly recommend you to watch Word of Honor! It's quite different than The Untamed. The chemistry is also unmatched!

This soundtrack is really unmatched. In case you haven't seen elsewhere, Xiao Zhan, Wang Yibo, Liu Haikuan (LXC), Wang Zhuocheng (Jiang Cheng), and Yu Bin (Wen Ning) all sang their own characters' songs. Wen Qing's song (and another character song you didn't react to yet so I'm keeping it a secret for now) just wrecks me. Sometimes I wonder why I love this show so much when so much of it is so damn tragic, but I dunno, the untamed just wraps itself around your heart and refuses to let go. With such a big cast of characters, you'd think it'd be normal to get attached to one or two and not give much thought on the rest, but every storyline pulls you in that you get invested in all of them. Literally the first thing I posted after finishing the show was "Wen Qing deserved better" because I hadn't even processed everything else yet. (Omg this is so long sorry) "Fun" fact about something you said in the video about hoping Wen Qing would come back somehow: they had to shoot a bunch of alternate versions of scenes where wq seemed like a love interest in case the censorship board objected. One of those was a leaked script that showed the final episode where wangxian parts ways, an alt version where wwx says that he's going to look for her. It's one of the reasons I get so frustrated when people compare the untamed ending to other versions, because those people rarely understand just how hard the crew (and cast, but that's a story for another day) fought to get the ending they did. Yeah they had alts where it looked like wwx and wq had a romance story, but they found a way to tell this queer story the best way they could. (Also imho that ending would've been a huge disservice to wq as a character bc there is no way in hell with how word spread that the "ghost general" had returned that she wouldn't come out of hiding at risk of her own death to see her baby brother again. Nothing will change my mind about that.)
