Honey Bees Make Lives Difficult For Wild Bees

A new study using data from the Island of Montréal, Canada, has found that the increase of bee-keeping in urban areas is correlated with a decline in wild bee populations. A previous study had found that wild bee species are declining worldwide, and that part of the reason is the competition with honey bees. Paper here, press release here.
