I will be going live very shortly for the end of November Q&A.

Sorry for the short notice, but I decided this is the only time that will work for my schedule - and it's already getting a little late.

Thoughts on how navi gpus on navi will fair against ampere on laptops?

Anonymous

Thoughts on the AMD ARM CPU’s performance vs alder lake and M1?

Kiwi Phil

When abouts do we expect PCIE 3 / NVME drives to be the requirement rather than nice to have for AAA gaming?

The Immortal Cameraman

Did you see Best Buy switch 6800 and 6800 XT from "coming soon," to "sold out?" It's like they pulled an Nvidia.

Alexander

You kinda hinted at something in a recent podcast, do you happen to know anything about Starfield?

Anonymous

Have you heard of any driver issues at all with RX 6000? It was a huge point of contention right up to launch, but it has been all quiet since. Thoughts on whether there could be obscured issues that appear as sample size increase?

Valko Milev

Any news on hopper ?Also when RISC-V will be a good alternative to AMD/Intel?

TSPCFS

Why is the Atari VCS the best best gen console? [obviously not a serious question]

Thoughts on Nvidia's SAM implementation with intel?

Wouldn't it make sense for nvidia/amd to have a series of cards optimized for crypto miners, rather than split supply for gamers and/or compute

Jeremy Lamb

Hi Tom, wondering what your thoughts are on using a LG OLED as a monitor for everyday use? Cortecs, Good Old Gamer and Linus have all made video on it and almost have me convinced considering 4k 120hz+ monitors are at least $600 for entry level 27" versions and for double that you can get an OLED 120hz tv when it's on special. Do you foresee prices becoming reasonable on 4k 120hz panels?

Kiwi Phil

Also do we have more specifics on the nvidia low end IE do we have any idea what will replace the 1660 kind of cards I cant see them making them a 2660 ? or 1800 card.

Anonymous

Hey Tom, what are your thoughts on aesthetics in the PC space?

Kiwi Phil

How do we see AMD combating the Superesque panic refresh that Nvidia is looking at doing in 2021 lower prices or higher clocks ?

Luke Haberman

Pre-ordered into a 3080 queue, very happy with performance over my 2070 Super. My only concern is if 10 GB of VRAM will be enough for 1440p gaming for the next ~3 years. You've been outspoken on NVidia's lineup, will I be ok?

Anonymous

Any rumors about a TI version of the 3080 and performance vs the 6900xt?

Anonymous

Is the RX580 still a viable option in 2021 or should I consider a 5600XT/1660 for a cheapish build around an R5 5600X? This is mainly for CAD work in AutoCAD with maybe a sprinkle of gaming.

Not sure if you answered this before in a broken silicon or something but after this ray tracing gimmick ends or actually even before, when will game developers start focusing on other in my opinion more important things such as the physical effects of water, sand etc. and focusing on Newtonian Laws of motion. What if developers actually motion captured these effects the same way they capture the motion effects of characters using real life actors. For example, when Concrete breaks they can plant the motion tracking particles inside the wet concrete and when it dries up they can break the concrete and use motion capture to capture the exact physical effect. What do you think Tom?

Jeremy Lamb

Shouldn't AMD be focusing on meeting their CPU demands over their GPU since it's a more convincing product and uses up much less 7nm silicon and produces a much higher margin for AMD? I don't get the sense behind launching the consoles, CPUs and GPUs from a raw material standpoint since they all use 7nm capacity. Also since AMD's roadmap shows rdna 3 launching end of 2022 will this stop production of rdna 2 or will that not matter since they are on different nodes?

When will see resistance 4?

Anonymous

Do you think we will be seeing something like an RTX 3050 Max Q made for ultrabooks like the Razer Blade Stealth in 2021 or will Nivida continue to use mobile graphics cards like the 1650 Max Q in laptop's requiring low TDP dedicated GPUs.

Anonymous

How low on the GPU power stack are scalpers willing to go if they keep buying most stock?

Anonymous

Imagine people buying 800 eurodollar configs (3060 Ti + 5600x) to play third-person games that don't demand high framerates (world of warcraft) in 1080p yes, imagine

With Nvidia having exclusive ray tracing for Cyberpunk 2077 at launch and Godfall being an AMD exclusive ray tracing also at launch, do you think AMD will be able to compete in the potential bidding war for raytracing exclusivity as it becomes more common in games? Also any information on performance of Nvidia's IO implementation?

Anonymous

What games have you been playing? When are you looking to upgrade your hardware?

Anonymous

With nvidia buying arm what do you think the chances of seeing arm based systems for the gaming market in the next 5 to 10 year or less?

Anonymous

You mentioned possibly modding your mustang. What mustang do you drive and what mods are you looking at?

Anonymous

With AMD possibly only focusing on mid/high range graphics cards. Do you think Intel will try to capitalize on this by challenging Nvidia in the low end with their new line of dedicated Xe graphics cards. How do you think this would bode for Nivdia having to face two potentially strong competitors solely targeting two different segments of Nvidia's GPU market share.

Not really a question at this time. Just wanted to say that the content on this channel is fantastic, it is the highlight of my podcast collection. You and Dan do such a great job and both of your insights are warmly appreciated. Here's to many more years!

What's the availability of 6900XT? Any leaks on 3080ti pricing?

Anonymous

Is this the worst console launch of all time when it comes to launch titles? Spiderman seems to be the only legit launch title. One game? Am I missing something?

Anonymous

Have you gotten word from any retailers/AIBs regarding longer-term plans to fight scalper bots on their websites and what methods they're looking into implementing?

Anonymous

Do you have any insight on future mobile chips, and what mobile devices do you currently use?

Is it possible AMD will come out with a killer monolithic APU for all gamers? For those who don't really need more than 8 cores, competing directly with Rocket Lake?

Travis Gooding

Bah im late to the party. Was going to ask, with the rumors of the PSP 5G, how efficient would an 18CU APU based on Zen2 and RDNA be in a small form factor handheld. PSNow have a stream PS5 upgrade down the line and a mobile PS4 handheld with great performance. In BC Mode 2 at base PS4 clocks, the IPC increase alone maxs resolution scaling and frame rate in almost all base ps4 titles. How feasible would a 20-25w handheld be with a ~4-6hour battery life

When do you think we will see more games that need 16gb in 4k and 10gb in 2k? I have seen that watch dogs legion managed 9.5 gb in 1440p on max settings without Dlss.

Anonymous

Sorry if already answered this question, but will Desktop ever see Zen 2 APU's (Ryzen 4000) to consumers not just OEM's?

Anonymous

Is the xbox dev kit argument real? Or it’s not that big of a difference?

Anonymous

And how did the HOT halloween date go? =D

marco jensen

Just a quick question, i saw the livestream on youtube and was wondering. Why aren’t you uploading that content to patreo? I for one would love to be able to listen to it on patreon. Your channel has been a weekly thing i’m looking forward to for quite some time, and more content would be more than welcome. Thank you for the content as always, they uphold a certain quality not found many other places, touching on subjects only a handfull og people really got a lot of insight in, that are also willing to share that insight. Just purchased a 3090 gaming x trio. Now for the actual question. The infinty cash looks really awesome on paper, but does it come with some drawbacks? The incredible bandwith its boasting, is it quote on quote ‘real’ bandwith, or are there limitations to its use? Is there applications where the cash system becomes inferior, or is it just an alround genious implementation?
