It’s time to take an in-depth look at Vellum’s inflation simulations. We’ll explore the process of animating attributes within the Vellum solver and gain a better understanding of its capabilities.

We can use Vellum to set up Balloon Constraints as the starting point for our feline project. By incorporating Stitch Constraints, we can achieve a realistic foil balloon look, complete with creases and folds. Additionally, utilizing Pin Constraints gives us greater control of the inflation simulation.

Hi Roland, Is it possible there is some part of the tutorial missing? I followed your instructions step by step, and modifying Vellum Pressure Rest Lenght does not trigger any simulation. The balloon stays still. Thank you

Please check whether you activated your solver again (brain icon) and check whether all key frames were correctly set. If you follow each step exactly as I show it, it should work.

I went again node by node; I am entirely out of ideas about why it does not perform any sim. I understand this takes time for you, but as a beginner, It is hard to find the mistake. I am sure there is a mistake; I doubt Houdini randomly does not work, but where it is, I am not sure.
