Comic Report #123.1 - By Leaps And Bounds (Patreon)

Here's where I've landed this week.  I keep waffling between "this page won't be so bad" and "oh I really did get myself into trouble with this one".  There aren't that many panels, the backgrounds are fairly simple, but there are a lot of very specific characters here with a lot of very specific lighting, so I'm just gonna have to grind through it.  Needless to say, I'm grateful this year is a leap year, I got one extra day to plug away at this.  

One of the points I realized after I'd finished inking this page was, I hadn't planned for where my light sources were going to be.  The room is dark, there's no overhead lights, so it's going to have to be a candlelight meeting, and that meant my lighting is going to have to reflect that.  That is both cool (I love dynamic lighting!) and terrifying!  (Oh I have to do dynamic lighting on many subjects here.)  I've started marking down where in 3D space the candles should be so I can start painting my light around them.

I've got a long road ahead of me so I'm just gonna leave it at that and move forward.  Depending on how late I run it this week the next textless page might be the update for next Friday, since I can see myself running right up to the 29th into the 1st and I don't know that I can fit additional stuff in for another post after this one is ready.  I'm just gonna do my best.  Thanks for checking in!  There's gonna be a whole lot of painting waiting for you to see within the week so please look forward to that.  Until then, have a nice weekend!
