Hello again!  Thanks for your patience last week, today I've got an update on the comic progress to share with you.  I'm expecting I can have this page finished within the next week- my one-month update deadline is the 7th and I try not to go longer than that with these updates, so that's the line I'm pushing for.  Fortunately this page is pretty easy on the drawing hand so I feel like I shouldn't have too much trouble hitting that goal before this time next week.  In addition to this I have a gamedev update coming after this post goes up, so please stick around for that.

The last post I made for this page was pretty early and quick, so there's been a few changes since the last comic post.  I figured out what I wanted to do for my first panel, which was "establish traveling", so I framed it as the gang walking with a shot of their legs and the reflection on the ground.  This is gonna be extremely not-complicated to paint so I'm somewhat proud of myself for letting me get away with it.  I chose a layout that left me some room for word balloons, which in this shot will have to go underneath the walking shoes.  It does what I want it to so I'm gonna run with it, but I might probably use the more-interesting second panel to promote the page once it goes up.

Panels two and three came along basically as planned.  I moved the shot of Marty Mulgrave's trailer to be a bit more clear in panel three, since I'm trying to compress things in a way where I can just start the next page and get on with the next scene.  In panel four I hacked some guys together, they were mostly block-ins before but now they're entire dudes.  I think I went a little wild with the dude on the left's head shape, I might be reeling that in a bit before I start painting him.

The last panel of the page has had a complete overhaul from its initial block-in.  Since I moved the establishing shot of the trailer into panel three, on this page I can just have Lou opening the door and inviting the girls in to come meet Marty.  A tighter shot at the open door is going to make for more dramatic lighting, since Marty's office is one of the few places with electricity it's gonna have that warm incandescent glow about it, and Lou creeking the door open like that is going to create just a fun scene to paint.  I'm looking forward to getting to it.

That's it for this week's report.  As mentioned I'm expecting to have this thing wrapped up before next week's write-up so keep an eye out for that!  Also I do have a bit of a gamedev update to report as well so I'm going to get that written up tonight.  Thanks for your patient support, and I hope your December is a pleasant one.
