Comic Report #70.2 - Quick Turnaround (Patreon)

Hello again!  I think last Friday I anticipated having this page done by the end of next weekend, but I'm happy to report I have the textless page available for you today! There's like two speech bubbles on this page so there's not a lot of writing before it all goes up, I'll be quick with my writeup for this post.

Thinking back I had a large outdoor scene in the fight with the Yellow Ponchos, then a brief string of indoor scenes with the post-mission review and then another outdoor scene with the Omni-mart crew showing up, so I'm really really excited to be able to jump back into another indoor scene.  I'm honestly a little surprised by how quickly I was able to put this page together at the level of detail I was looking for, so I'm eager to see how quickly I can put up the next couple pages in this scene.  I think what I really like about indoor shots is the fixed light sources and the contained depth of field- I can draw my walls and ceilings absolutely and don't need to fuss about getting the correct buildings deep into the horizon like I do on an outdoor shot.  There's less brain calculation and more just painting props and objects, which is the fun part.

With this page done today I think I will be able to have the sketch for the next page ready for Friday's work report, which is technically "tomorrow", so that's my personal challenge for myself now.  I'll see you again in a day or so, and see if I can carry through with this commitment.
