GUARDIAN!!! TO LITERALLY NO ONE'S SURPRISE!!! (Especially if you've already watched the latest WOH reactions oops.)

Gaywatch will complete the Chinese bl drama hat trick by watching Guardian, the cdrama that paved the way for the likes of The Untamed and Word of Honor. I have been d y i n g to watch this show for months, and after the Word of Honor concerts I finally will. <333

The first episodes drop on Patreon Nov. 13th, and Youtube on the 15th and 17th. 

Also! If you know of a place I can download the show at decent to (preferably) high quality, please let me know in the comments!

Also also! Sense8 has come in 2nd place twice now, and I feel like I have to do something at this point, right? So: either I'll start it up at once a week early next year or simply guarantee that it'll follow Guardian. Maybe both, and it'll slide into the 2x a week spot after Guardian finishes. Regardless, Sense8 will happen! Stay tuned!

Guardian has some good stuff in it....but also some long drawn out stuff that I just want to skip skip skip (especially toward last third). But I love the two main actors and have seen them in other series, and they are fun. Was hoping for a GL as your next series, but BL seems to be so popular now ;) Still, Untamed and Word of Honor are still the BEST, so glad you got to enjoy those!

Yay! I'm gonna rewatch it with you! Just.... get ready to laughable CGI, questionable script, voice dubbing problems and absence of extra's costume design. But don't worry, the CP is worth it! Lead actors acting is amazing!

NO SPOILERS, but a serious warning that might be frowned upon: I mean this politely. If you ever come up against a show that you can't finish watching, we'll still love you. I say this because the main appeal of Guardian is the chemistry between the two male leads (not the writing, not the script) during the FIRST HALF of the show. I can't speak for the rest, but I will join you to see how you handle it. It's still my first pick for you to watch. As always, the best to you! &lt;3

If there's a steep drop off in gayness and/or Youtube interest I could always put the rest of a series on After Dark if I'm still enjoying it. And yeah, when the day comes and I watch a series I simply don't like, I'll give it a fair shot but will have to drop the series. I figure it's best for everyone--nobody wants to feel forced to watch something they're not enjoying and nobody wants to watch someone not enjoy something..........there's a coherent thought in there somewhere.

I watched Guardian on the Viki Rakuten app. That is a great app overall for a lot of Asian dramas (Japanese and Korean and China and more).
