the gay staring is truly palpable and lao wen's smiles are quite literally lethal ! "ah so youre a male virgin" "don't leave me, im afraid of ghosts" truly wen kexing is exhibiting the duality of man LOL "theres so many ghosts going on here" we'll there IS a whole valley of them LOL !! also !!! always keep in mind that Ghost Valley and all the "ghosts" are all humans cast aside from society for various reasons and not like,,, supernatural ghosts ! anything supernatural-y is either from drugs or martial arts !! we've passed the inital introductory episodes so lots of mysteries are going to start rising from the graves, i hope youre ready for this rollercoaster !!!!

That wasn't Ah-Xu's father. It was his Master and the kid version of the dead guy from episode 1, who's fiance he gave the poison to. Also was the kid in the flashback who he was telling not to cry.

So glad this is the episode where you started doing the two per week. There are certain groupings in this show where the episodes REALLY need to be watched back to back. 5&6, 11&12, 19&20.... a few more too.

It was this intense smell that caused the hallucinations (ZiShu says it). It took me a while to understand how he was able to pull himself out of it so fast. Then it hit me... just one more bit if brilliant storytelling. The nails. ZZS is slowly loosing his senses, including smell, therefore the insence didn't effect him as strongly. I'm not spoiling cause it's never said. It's just one of those great things the show let's us figure out. 😁

I so can't wait for tomorrow's episode. Significant things happen whenever their theme song plays. (Like when he put on the mask in ep 1, or their dance... er fight in th flower forest in ep 2). Can you do a live after you watch it??? 🙏

Also, can we talk about Wen KeXing's masterful backhanded compliments? "Oh, you're so much more elegant that I've *heard*". Just straight up told the man to his face that everyone says he's an uncultured boor, with that sweet, innocent expression. He's such a sh*t stirrer. I love him so much.

Well, she isn’t called Beauty Ghost for nothing… This show is honestly great with its female characters, they’re nuanced, fleshed out, and all have their own motivations. No one in this show is completely 100% a good person (except for Chengling who’s an angel and has done nothing wrong ever in his life) so feel free to stan whomever you want. This is where the mysteries start picking up and I can’t really comment much, just know that I’m periodically biting my lip and smiling knowingly at your assessments of plot/characters/etc. You might be right, you might be wrong, I’m not gonna tell. And once again, the FLIRTING! I’m glad you picked up on the cut sleeve. That one’s a classic. Wen Kexing keeps being his usual flirty self, which you might expect at this point, but still he’s a lot. I think someone already commented this but I don’t think it’ll hurt to clarify: The guy Zishu was hallucinating was Qin Huaizhang, Zishu‘s master. The kid in both flashbacks was Qin Jiuxiao, his junior, who is also the one he hallucinated in episode 1. There are some characters introduced in this episode that will get important later on, but you’ll get to that in time. Looking forward to episode 6!

Well, no one is 100% good except for Chenling (aka Best Boy) AND the Precious Cinnamon Roll, who hasn't been introduced yet. Best Boy and Cinnamon Roll are always pure and must be protected at all costs.

Ooooh the cuteness of Kexing while hallucinating vs his flirty self just minutes prior to that always gets me. And I’m with you on getting distracted/mildly annoyed at Kexing’s beauty. I mean there really is no need for you to be this gorgeous, Kexing (especially with those robes on which is one of my favorites of all of his clothes)!

"Why is he averting attention from Ghost Valley?" He isn't. He's stating that if they were Ghosts, they were certainly not up to their reputation. Also, we already know from Gu Xiang in episode 3 that there are fake Ghosts running around. So, he's saying that those were just people pretending to be Ghosts.

The end of ep 5 is a big reveal because ZZS introduced himself to WKX as ZX only. And in ep 4 when WKX was trying to get ZZS to draw White Clothe, he was trying to confirm his suspicions. But I won't reveal anything more.

Saw a post in your tumblr but i don't have an account so i'll just say it here. You're doing fantastic following the show so far. I watch a LOT of reactors and am pretty observant so i do notice that you still read the subtitles and able to keep up despite talking(which, most reactors fail to do) and honestly, its impressive. Even i had to replay scenes to catch the subtitles and would then still miss some stuff. Its normal not to catch every little thing on the first watch, i feel like reactors are really pressured with that. You do an amazing job of keeping up, gushing, while still being hilarious with your commentaries and all so yeah 🙌💕

The fact that ZZS is afraid of/disgusted by blood has further meanings in a later episode to show the development of their relationship.
