Uh, wow, the queer vibes were kinda in our face from the get go weren't they




(Welp, back to fighting with Youtube over copyright. The short version of this episode was blocked, but I've got a couple new things to try before I give up and just do what I did with The Untamed.)

What a start! The only thing I remember clearly about Hannibal is how tasty the food looked, and I'm just as distressed about it this time around as I was then.

I feel like Hannibal is fascinated by Will from the very start due to Will's high level of empathy and the unusual way he thinks. So Hannibal decides that getting closer to Will and learning more about him is worth the risk of Will possibly seeing through him (even though he's obviously taking measures to prevent this). Hell, I think in a way there might even be a tiny part of Hannibal that wants to be Seen by someone who might actually be able to truly understand him. It's obviously not love (yet), but there's an immediate sense of interest--and probably also attraction--there.

I always love showing people Hannibal, and having them be surprised that the show can be pretty funny. It's a dark humor, but it's funny. Then Alanas stupid face showed up and I gagged. She's my least favorite character in this show, and this show has Mason Verger in it. Fun fact, the very first murder, with the woman and the alarm system, that was a trial run/practice for a future killer. Ok Will, for someone who hates eye contact, you sure love looking at Hannibal right from the start. I love this show so much and I'm so excited to watch it with you!

This is such an epic show, and I know your reactions are only going to make it even better! The attraction Hannibal and Will have for each other just burns (in the best way). I originally came to this show for Mads Mikkelsen’s “Hannibal the Cannibal”... I stayed for Hugh Dancy’s Will “The Dog Stalker” Graham (and their sexy connection). So excited to continue to see your reactions!

That's a damn good point--cannibalism is a lonely business. The idea of someone in his life knowing all of him, understanding him, and accepting him? That's a hell of a drug. .....this show inspires the best conversations. 😂

Okay I finally got around to watching this! So yes to everything to said! Clearly Hannibal is immediately affected by Will because he craves to be seen and acknowledged and he finally finds someone who matches his level of intelligence. Will clearly is intrigued but is wary and its so interesting to revisit all this through your eyes. Ahh i'm so happy this is happening! Onto episode two!
