Chapter Delayed Until Tomorrow ! (Patreon)

Hi, everyone. The chapter is fully drafted, but the polishing is taking longer than expected. Based on past experience it's going to be one of those that I think I can finish by midnight, but then it will be nearly midnight, and I'll be feeling frantic to make it all come together.

Moving forward I'm going to be a lot more cautious about letting myself do that. The big final push to finish up feels like progress, but I think in terms of quality story written per hours invested it's a dirty trick. Because I almost always manage to put out what I was planning to, but then I feel pretty dead the next day and have a harder time focusing than usual. The days after posting days have been bad days for writing lately (staring blankly at screen, typing with mitten fingers, what is an Alden?), and I'd like to nip that in the bud.

So from now on if I'm not sure I can get it out, I'm just going to issue a delay notice as soon as I realize we're going to be in the maybe zone. That way none of you will be up in the middle of the night waiting, and I will, hopefully, choose sleep when the time comes and finish up the chapter in the morning without the adrenaline rush. Maybe gain some more creativity during the post-posting days.

(PS - I was told this is ambiguous. It really will be tomorrow, you guys. I'm setting a Go To Bed alarm for myself right now. The chances of me making the chapter what I want it to be before that alarm goes off are miniscule. So you should go to bed, too. Don't stay up until 4 AM to see if I pull it off. I care for you, and you deserve better. SLEEPY PEOPLE UNITE! )
