here some patreon post because your epic <3

as you can see, both drawings started as traditional doodles, for extracting the linework I use the "convert brightness to opacity" tool in clip studio paint (but between you and me, the medibang paint "extract lines" tool is way better), sometimes overlaying several of the extracted linework so it's thicker.

most of the process here is the same as usual, put on some color, some more color, colored lines (best thing since sliced bread), so on and so forth.

however, there is one quite small thing that i've been trying to use! it's making a duplicate of my lineart, and blurring it a tiny bit.
i actually heard about this for the first time not too long ago, on twitter. when i first read it, i thought, "that's a horrible idea. that would look... awful." i tried it on one of my drawings and it looked gorgeous. oh well.

it can make your linework look quite nicer! of course, it's not something to just magically make your lineart good, but it is a nice little touch. i blur it only slightly, and adjust the opacity based on the drawing. If anyone's been looking for a little something to do right before your drawing is done, you could do this!

i appreciate little art tricks like this that enhance the drawing in some small yet faintly noticeable way, but i try not to do too many of them.

personally, i would feel strange if a large amount of my art process were these little touches after i'm done actually drawing. as of now, i think I only do this, filters/gradient maps, and slight contrast/saturation settings. (it's so easy to spend 30 minutes playing with different gradient maps, it's a little scary.)

i know this is a good amount of text just for me to say that i blurred the lineart after i was done with it, but hey. i don't know how many of you read these, but i hope you appreciate them! once again, thank you for supporting me.

also, at the time of writing this, there's a strange bug noise in my room. i think it's going to kill me. goodnight!
