a few drawings i've made over the past two weeks or so! they're all drawn in a way that is different to most of my other traditional drawings, and i've only found this way about two weeks ago.

normally, i'd do sketch > lightly erase sketch > ink lineart > erase rest of sketch > marker time. this is pretty standard (i think?), but it made my lineart a little less good than it was before erasing the rest of the sketch.

i hardly ever considered doing color on top of the sketch on my current sketchbook, because when i'd tried it in a previous one, it made the sketch impossible to erase and smudged with the pencil. it was awful. i assume it's like this for most types of paper, but against all odds, not my current sketchbook! i took a risk and found out it's totally fine, if not great.

this way, i can add colored lines to my traditional drawings (which i love doing!) without smudging and blurring them with my markers. of course, the old way of doing things, though more stress inducing, looks really good, so don't worry, that's not going away anytime soon. however, this way is fun as hell, and i look forward to drawing more things this way!

this was a bit of a ramble, and these little quirks are mostly because of the equipment i happen to have, so it may not be appliable to traditional art as a whole. still, i hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into my art process!
