I apologize for the lack of updates this month. In addition to numerous family obligations at the start of the month, I've been struggling with some mental health stuff.
I've largely gotten it under control at this point. I do not like falling behind, and Squad progress is the only thing that really keeps me sane. In the past, I've missed months of updates for similar reasons, but I'd rather not keep it in the dark going forward.
I've JUUUST now received the final piece of voices lines I needed to finish the dialogue for the episode. The actor was sick for quite some time, but we had a great session, and I can now complete the grand puzzle and put it all together.
Unfortunately, doing the "Two Episodes Left" short is now actively eating time out of the episode progress. It's about 75% done now. The character animation is a little more involved than I'd realized, but I'm very close to finishing it and I'd be surprised if I can't lock it down this week. I will post that here first as soon as it's finished. It's kind of frustrating how my standards for character animation have evolved to the point where even this simple little short, I feel obligated to get everything looking juuuust right. However, I really do feel like this short is fun and special. I really did need this warm-up before diving into the episode and I'm glad I'm doing it.
However, in doing this short has made me realize what a massive, massive undertaking Episode 11 is going to be. There's... a lot. I don't know how else to say it. There's SO MUCH that happens. It's going to be so much to manage. I definitely, DEFINITELY need a bigger team this time around and will need to employ organization and resource management like never before if this is actually going to get finished. Apologies for falling behind. Thank you for your support.
