I always forget how good Twilight is I love Jongho's voice so much! He is seriously so talented, also at 4:14 that was actually Yunho singing.

I really appreciate you reacting to Ateez's discography! They are very versatile but have a unique sound that I love! Jongho and San's back and forth, along with Hangjoong and Mingi's back-to-back rapping, are some of my favorite parts of their songs. And every time I listen to this mini album, I'm blown away by the fact that this was their debut.

Yeosang was very shy in the beginning and has said he didn’t want a lot of lines because of this, but as the albums continue you will start to hear more from him and Yunho. I love Jongho’s voice. He recently did a live performance of Gravity from Reborn Rich and it was amazing.

So happy to see you enjoying the albums! I'm excited for your analysis/reaction when they get into storyline. The earlier songs were absolutely house/tropical to match with the pirate theme, but then they evolve with every album theme to something that's uniquely them (still pirate but insane haha). I really like the early albums, but I would marry The World albums (the latest trilogy including Guerilla and Bouncy). I would highly recommend Jongho singing So You on Immortal Songs and his recent live performance of Gravity to make you die. I think I posted a link to the former on Discord.

Oh! and almost every lyric video of Mist has the singers wrong and switches San and Wooyoung's parts!!!! --> highly recommend watching it live after you watch a lyric video so you can tell who is singing what parts

You should definitely revisit Limitless for San’s voice in that song. His vocals are so stunning, especially when they sing it live!

I don't think someone has said yet but Jongho and San tend to get the most vocal parts because they are the main vocal and lead vocal of the group (as i think you were suspecting). Usually the role of the lead vocal (San here) is to set the mood of the song so it has to be someone who has a very versatile voice, San can go low, raspy, or high depending on what's needed of him in the song. He also does a lot of adlibs along with hongjoong (though the growling adlibs tend to be Mingi or yunho — you'll see what i mean by that when you get further in their discography lol Mingi loves growling). In their songs now, the line distribution is a bit more even between the members but I'd still say the "mood setter" role tends to be San's. Jongho's role as the main vocal is obviously to be the power house of the song so he tends to do the high notes and deliver the "intensity" though recently falsetto notes are more and more given to either San or Seonghwa (Limitless is an example of that). Obviously it's Ateez though so you'll see they have both vocal-heavy songs and more rap-heavy songs. Between mingi and hongjoong, I'd say mingi is the jongho of the rap line (meaning his raps bring power and intensity to the song) whereas HJ is much more sort of fluid and melodic with it which gives him that same ability as San to really set the mood and vibe of a song. Wooyoung tends to be used for either the "killing part" of the song or parts that need a softer tone, whereas Yeosang tends to be brought in for lower notes (especially recently). It's hard to define Yunho's voice amongst the others, he's quite versatile too and I find that you can never really guess ahead of time where he'll appear in the song until you hear it, if that makes sense.

Oh, and to answer your question, ATEEZ has an in-house production team called Edenary which includes a couple people (Eden being the head of it) as well as both Hongjoong and Mingi. Hongjoong definitely is more involved in the production side of things and gets credited on all their songs as part of the team, he has also solo produced/written/arranged some of their bsides like Horizon, Good lil Boy, Aurora, Sunrise, Thank U, etc. My understanding is that although Mingi can and does produce music, for now he's more heavily involved in the lyrics side of things for the group. Obviously both write their own raps as well, but that goes without saying.

Looking forward to more ATEEZ album reviews as their sound certainly does evolve. The story is that Yeosang was very shy and said to the producers to not give him many parts in the early days, but this has changed, especially in the their most recent albums. He also released a song cover on his birthday. Also forewarning ATEEZ lyric videos, especially ones for their early work, don't always indicate the correct person is singing. I noticed one of the ones you watched indicated it was Seonghwa, but it really was Yunho singing.
