This is an incredibly dramatic and traumatic episode, and yes, the acting is superb. Wille has been 16 since the beginning of the series, since the entire series takes place during one school year. So only now has he become 17. I think August’s letter to himself is heartbreaking, and it shows him being vulnerable in the way he seldom is to anyone but Sara. Seeing how terrified Simon looks after Wille’s confrontation with his parents, I can fully understand why he says what he does to Wille. And by the way, the woman playing the guitar when the family is singing the birthday song to Wille is Lisa Ambjörn, the creator of the series.

Gaddaaaamn that performance 😭 those last scenes…like a wave of relief that we finally got it out but also the searing pain of speaking your truth after it’s been bubblin’ for a while. Poor Wille, I’ve never felt so much pity for a prince in my life holy shit
