Wow, this was such a great reaction! And what an episode! I think it's going to be another great season (I've seen bits and pieces before...) And I just have to mention the beautiful classical soundtrack - I really love that in this show. It brings it to the next level in terms of the artistry of the show. For instance the song that is playing in the background in the scene with Abigail's body. It's from Gabriel Fauré's Requiem. It's Pie jesu (I believe it's opus 48, but I'm not sure). The song is so beautiful and it is full of sorrow. So it's so fitting for these scenes. First of all it is very fitting for deaths and funerals. Because of the lyrics of everlasting rest. And then also because this episode is full of sorrow. As you also mentioned about the sorrow in Hannibal's eyes. There is so much pain and grief for Will and Hannibal. The lyrics is "Pie Jesu Domine, Dona eis requiem" Not sure I'm spelling it correctly, but go back to the scene with Abigail and Will in the hospital and listen to it then you know what song I'm writing about.. It's not the first time this song has been played in this show. Was it in the last episode of season 2? Or maybe the one before that. And I also think I heard other pieces of Fauré in the first two seasons. I don't know if you know the song, but it's from one of the worlds most famous requiem. I've personally sung the requiem twice in my career so far (not the solos, I'm not a soprano) If I may complain about one thing in this episode it's the voice of the new detective. I don't know if it is how the actor talks in real life. If that's the case then I apoligize! But it seems he's making an accent and talking with a whispery voice, and that seems kinda cliche... He's not (in my opinion) living up to the high standards from Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy. But I'm sure I'll get over it soon.

It's about 36.40 minutes in to your reaction, if you just want to check out that scene again. I think you might have already felt how it made the scene so much more emotional. Maybe without you thought about it...
