This episode was so good! I agree, every storyline this episode was interesting. And we are getting to know all the key charachters a bit more. It's also really brave to throw in an abortion-storyline, especially so soon in the show. But wow, they handled it very well! Such strong emotion. It's so cool they really tackle some real issues. And I really like that Sarah-charachter in the clinic. Such a real portrayel. I don't blame you for getting a bit emotional. To have a friend be there for you in that situation must be so important. Thinking he was on a date and then just beeing there 100% for her as a friend. Following her home with the only intend on being a good friend. Good job, Otis! And yeah, Otis deserves respect for not telling Eric. Because he could easily do that, because I'm sure we can trust Eric! But it was not Otis' secret to tell. I don't agree with the people outside the clinic either. But I appreciate that you acknowledge them. It's so easy to just trash them and hate those kind of people, but we have to understand, that they are not there out of hate. Their beliefs is so strong. They want to save both the babies and save the women. I don't know where the Church of England stand on abortion? The Church of Denmark has no rule against abortion. It is in the roots that no one can decide if abortion is right for you beside yourself. Education is the key. This is not my favorite episode, but I still have to give it a 10/10. Because they just handled each story perfect.

We're only 3 episodes in and already the storylines are so strong! Maeve broke my heart this episode. I loved her interactions with the older woman, I think it was really well written and acted scenes. I teared up when they hold hands and the older woman was trying to get them to relax because she knew it was (or at least that's what I think for the other girl as well) their first time. Everything about this storyline felt so well handled. Before Sex ed, I had never scene an abortion storyline so well done (usually it's just mentioned or for drama purposes rather than how it's done here). I don't agree with the anti-abortion Christian kids but like you said, even they get good scenes and are not just simply shown as haters. Even if I don't like what it implies, the girl had a sense of humor with that sunscreen joke... Eric, I just adore him! He's just the best character for me and omg the assemblee scene always kills me 🤣🤣 The scenes with Lilly were wholesome and funny. The one with his dad made me sad for Eric but again, it was handled quite well with no over the top reaction with screaming and slurs. Lilly is also a great character and she's not beating around the bush about what she wants 😳😂 also, her drawings are really good. Otis this episode was so sweet. It was exactly what Maeve needed and I love their growing friendship. So much respect for him when he kept her secret at the end. Jackson's scenes are also good. But I felt sad for Adam when his father called Jackson his boy with such pride while he was in the bleachers... Also, Jackson’s mom putting the pressure on him, also interesting storyline. Jean and the dad’s conversation, what an interesting dynamic. But omg, she totally f*ed up with telling Otis' 'progress' to the other women.... What a great episode, so cool to see you're already attached to the characters. It really a very strong and talented cast and the writing and acting (imo) keep getting better as the season goes on.

I think I've only seen a handful of shows do an abortion storyline (esp do it WELL). The first one I saw was a show and the episode aired in early 2004. They actually banned the airing of it here in the states until 2006 so for a couple of years, only people who lived elsewhere or had the show on dvd could even see the episode. I definitely think, like that show, Sex Education does it really well, esp for such an early storyline. The characters are all really great. Eric especially, he really is so hilarious and his actor has absolutely perfected his comedic timing. I found the line about being "Not Hannibal Lecter" so funny considering Jean AKA Bedelia is in this adfhdfh I'm glad you're enjoying this show.
