"Move." Roman pushed Inna forward. She obeyed her captor. However, she looked around to see some village fighters appear from the bushes and rescue her. They approached the river bank step by step, and Inna's hope faded. Now Inna understood how strong their enemy was. There was a large longboat with full fighting force and a bigger boat for cargo. Attackers were well prepared, and their weaponry was much better than what the village guard was holding. Fighters were returning to the shore with some loot. Inna didn't spot any other captives, but she listened to them talk about the important price they managed to take from the enemy. Fighters were angry. They cursed those who attacked them and forced them to make an unnecessary fight in some random village. On the other hand, attackers were happy that they didn't suffer losses in the fight.
