Gayane was not in buying mood. Instead, she walked through narrow backyard bazaars enjoying busy roads and looking around to see how people were doing their everyday business. These bazaars were filled with different scents. Some were from spices, others from fireplaces where cooks prepare different meals. From time to time, random sweaty peasants or slaves passed nearby, spreading the smell of untidy humans. But Gayane was a seasoned slave trader, and she knew how humans could stink.

When Gayane had an opportunity to wander alone in the alleys, she used to visit a small kitchen that served excellent Harissa and grilled meats wrapped in Lavash bread with herbs and spices. Visiting these places was Gayanes secret. She comes to this place alone without any guards or slaves around her. Although she was a well-known face in B'tumi in these areas occupied by foreigners and visitors, she was moving freely. So naturally, people running their business knew her, and she got excellent service when asking for food from a small kiosk at the end of the alley. Gayane loved how they served her silently and fast. The food was tasty, and the owner served wine from his vinery. Cook's friend fatty pieces of pork on sticks with low heat and meat was so well done it melted in mouth after taking a bite from lavash roll.

While Gayane was enjoying her meal and wine, she noticed how Ashot had started slave presentation. It was not auctioned day, but traders had a habit of showing their best products to get more people on auction day. Gayane loved to give presentations, she was good at that, and potential buyers were well engaged in deal-making already in the exhibition. However, Ashot was old and slow. He was slowly presenting a young boy, and people were not that interested. If he were a more talkative boy like that would make a nice profit. Gayane wondered if she should send her agent to auction and get the boy. She would find a buyer easily.

Then Ashot took a dark-skinned girl on the stage. Now Gayane forgot her wine and moved closer. The girl had a beautiful face with large eyes and a small mouth. Her skin tone was fantastic, her breasts were large enough, and she knew how to present herself, although uncertainty was pushing through from her expression. Ashot was presenting the girl as Akissi; the girl was born in slavery and sold by her former owner because of financial issues. Now Gayane knew that she had lost this day for nothing. She would send her agents to get the boy and girl. She would sell the boy, but she needed a good slave girl to assist with new slaves. Beautiful Akissi would be perfect for that role.
