Empires Alien Doodles! (Patreon)

Some more of the aliens from my "Empires" reboot. Again, I was trying to "de-furry-ize" the aliens but I still had a lot of inertia behind my thought process; my initial images in my mind were still closely linked to the animal likenesses. The A'Kii a probably my best example since here they still very much resemble the wolf template I used for Sergeant Tasayana Nile. I have since revised these in my mind and will re-launch further changes in the future. But one thing is for sure, I always wanted a "hexapod" (6-limbed or technically, six-footed) species but at the same time, they would be rare. 

Above: Blythe Sedyn was a character designed for a friend, who was an alien "Veliscii", one of the race that got turned into cat-people for the furry version. While the alien influences are obvious, there are still a lot of the animal influences left that are going to be toned down in the next wave of revisions.

The "Skitala". Never featured in any of the versions until much, much later (more on that to come) they are a race of intelligent miniature squid type creatures. They were inspired by my discovery of the high amount of intelligence evident in studies of octopus behavior. 

The "Wanni", another half-way design that is still too heavily influenced by the animal origins. The tails will be edited out and their arboreal tree-dwelling background will be emphasized, including a relatively muscular, almost chimpanzee-like, physique.
