BOHICA News! (Patreon)

Regular readers probably are already aware that the ongoing, official BOHICA Blues story has come to a conclusion. As of this writing, there remains only the "Epilogue" left to go, which will be updated soon (it's going to be kind of long compared to most BOHICA Blues comics). 

But this does not mean that BOHICA Blues is 100% done! I will switch to comics that are more random and casual in nature, not necessarily following any particular story and not updated regularly. The military can be (unintentionally) hilarious and there will always be fresh material to create. 

New BOHICA Blues comics will be made and posted on Patreon, and while many will go on to be shared publicly, there will also be many comics that stay exclusively on Patreon. Those familiar with Patreon also know that I will continue posting Classic Comics of my early, early days as well as developmental sketches for upcoming projects. 

I will also be planning a spin-off series that will be limited in scope, featuring the secret lives of the Military Working Dogs and their kennel companions from BOHICA Blues. People dig dog humor!

So at the moment I will take a brief break, catch up on some military training that has been delayed due to Coronavirus shutdowns, and begin revamping the Patreon site to reflect a broader scope of comics rather than be narrowly focused on only BOHICA Blues. People may have noticed the "Random Coyote" logo that I put up on the banner a couple years ago; "Random Coyote Productions" is my comic company incorporated in my home state that will be producing a greater variety of content. Science fiction, fantasy, and real-world historical content are all in various phases of being created right this moment.

BOHICA Blues trade paperbacks --collections of the comic-- will continue to be published and some of my Patrons get those copies automatically as soon as they roll off the press. I have eliminated some of the Patreon awards that were relevant to the webcomic while it was being published, and replaced those rewards with others. I have also eliminated the "First Sergeant" tier since at the moment I am not able to come up with anything to adequately reward that level of participation. That tier, or something similar to it, may return at a later date with updated awards, and I may expand the number of "Platoon Sergeant" slots available as well. 

I hope everyone enjoyed the BOHICA Blues story and will continue to support my new efforts. There are still scheduled Patreon posts coming, so it will be worth it to stick around!
