After going over your comments and talking to some people over messages, I think I've decided on what to do here with the new abyss arc starting at Chapter 195.  Before that though I'd like to get one final round of input from the rest of you.  The general consensus is that there wasn't enough foreshadowing for the abyss arc, it was very hard to follow, and very confusing.  I was even thinking this myself, and I've become more and more dissatisfied with it as time went on until I outright asked in my last post.

So what I think I'm going to do is push out the entire abyss arc to a future stage in the book.  This will give me an opportunity to foreshadow all of what has happened, and it'll force me to take some twists and turns I didn't expect to take - maybe I'll even incorporate some of the stuff earlier rather than later (such as dual bodies).  Many of the comments ring very true:

I need to slow down the progression, need to stop having so many things going on at once, will likely take out the part about Fay being sexually abused as I agree it was too common a theme (will replace it with some other object she has to overcome), etc.  There were a lot of good points and I think that, although it'll be a pain in the ass to do, I think the reset needs to be done to make the book better.  This ALSO means that I'll have to kick up the amount of writing I do to catch up to where I want to be ahead of the curve in terms of RR, which is beneficial for all of you in that respect as you'll get more material more frequently for a while lol. Let me know your thoughts, and as long as there isn't a significant amount of people or a good reason not to do this I believe these chapters 195-210 will be pushed back to a future part of the novel series while recycling parts of it earlier than others.  I would essentially be restarting at 195 again.

Thanks and I appreciate the feedback!

I'm going to miss his two new demon minions. But I totally agree it needs to go a little more slow paste. We seem to be jumping from one conflict to another. We got to let our characters build up and breathe. I know it's gonna suck to go back. But we got make sure we're This feel like it's moving at the right pace.

Oh thank God. I an currently 2 chapters back forcing myself to read through. I just started 208 and stopped reading, thinking that everything from the abyss start has soured my opinion of the series as a whole. This is incredibly good news to me. It went from a satisfying moment to confusing wtf in a heartbeat
